A 60-year-old Casco man was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with critical injuries Thursday morning after being hit by a car while walking on Poland Spring Road in Casco.
Heidi Bernier, 42, of River Road in Raymond was driving a PT Cruiser southwest on Poland Spring Road just before 11 a.m. when the car hit Richard Crossman, who was walking in the same direction, said the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
The condition of Crossman, who lives on Poland Spring Road, was not available Thursday night.
Bernier was treated at the scene.
Capt. Donald Goulet said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
