OLD TOWN — Police say a University of Maine student was arrested in connection with a break-in attempt in a town near the university’s Orono campus.
WABI-TV reports 21-year-old Luke Cushman-Cole attempted to break into a home in Old Town early Sunday morning. The station reports he had a gun and was wearing a mark. Police say the homeowner prevented Cushman-Cole from getting into the home.
Police later found Cushman-Cole barricaded in his on-campus dorm. The building was evacuated until police apprehended Cushman-Cole. Students were back in their rooms in about 90 minutes.
