Firefighters from Bridgton and six neighboring towns put out a house fire Monday night that started in a car that was parked in an attached garage.
An emergency dispatcher said the fire spread from the garage to the house at 39 Forest Ave. in Bridgton. It was reported around 7:30 p.m.
The dispatcher said everyone got out of the house safely. No one was injured.
The house and garage sustained extensive damage from the fire. It took firefighters more than two hours to bring the fire under control.
