A car went off Depot Road in Lebanon Friday night, snapping a telephone pole in two, but neither the driver nor a passenger suffered injuries.

State police Trooper Michael Lane said the crash occurred about 8 p.m. as the car went south on Depot Road. Lane said the driver, who was not immediately identified, told him he was driving fast and lost control of the car.

Both airbags deployed, Lane said, and the two people in the car declined medical treatment.

The telephone pole was broken, Lane said, and the car appeared to be a total loss.

No charges were filed immediately, Lane said, but the investigation into the crash is continuing.
