HARTFORD, Conn. — Ryan Graves and Luke Adam each had a goal and assist Sunday afternoon as the Hartford Wolf Pack beat the Portland Pirates 4-1 at the XL Center.

Less than 24 hours after their six-game winning streak ended with a 5-0 loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the Pirates had a three-game road winning streak snapped.

The Wolf Pack broke the game open with three goals in the first seven minutes of the second period, building a 4-0 lead. Jayson Megna made it 2-0 just 53 seconds into the period, then Graves and Adam scored in a span of 2:10.

Hartford’s Nicklas Jensen opened the scoring exactly five minutes into the game.

The Pirates avoided a shutout when defenseman Michael Matheson scored an unassisted goal with 5:18 remaining.

Wolf Pack goalie Magnus Hellberg made 30 saves. Sam Brittain stopped 23 shots for the Pirates.
