Sherry Turkle, a sociologist, clinical psychologist and a professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at MIT, will talk about her new book “Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age,” which addresses what she calls “an empathy gap” in schools and public life, brought about by society’s enchantment with digital communication.
