A Rockland man was arrested Monday morning on a charge of possession of child pornography.

Jarrod Bergeron, 32, was arrested at his home on Acadia Drive after an investigation by Homeland Security and Rockland Police was launched late last year when officials received a tip.

Bergeron’s home was searched on December 15 and his computers seized for analysis at the computer crime unit’s offices in Vassalboro. The investigation uncovered 130 sexually explicit images of 37 children under the age of 12.

Bergeron, a cook in Camden, was taken to Knox County Jail with a court date on March 21.
