Crews from several towns successfully fought a large brush fire that broke out Sunday evening in North Berwick.
An emergency dispatcher said the fire affected between 6 and 8 acres of forested land off Lower Main Street behind the town’s sewer district property.
The brush fire was reported just after 5:30 p.m. and had been brought under control by 9:30 p.m. No other details were available.
