Bad weather will delay Tuesday’s arrival of the Spanish tall ship El Galeon in Portland.
Tall Ships Portland said the bad weather along the coast south of Portland will delay the arrival of the reproduction of a Colonial-era Spanish sailing vessel until between 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
It had originally been scheduled to reach Portland Harbor around noon Tuesday.
The ship was most recently in Newburyport, Massachusetts. It will be in Portland through June 13 and open for tours through June 12.
It will be tied up at the Maine Wharf and the first day for tours will be Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
