A 36-year-old man was stopped in Biddeford shortly after midnight Wednesday after police clocked him on radar driving at 124 mph on Pool Street.
John Gaudet of Biddeford was driving a Chevrolet Camaro on Outer Pool Street near Water Tower Way when he was stopped and arrested on a charge of criminal speeding. He was traveling 69 mph over the posted limit of 55, according to police.
Gaudet was bailed out at the police station.
Criminal speeding is classified as traveling 30 mph over the posted limit, and is a Class-E misdemeanor.
