Education Foundation raises $15,195 and honors 2

A Biddeford Education Foundation inaugural Pillars of Pride dinner and silent auction event held last month raised $15,195 for the foundation’s education initiatives, while honoring longtime community partners for their contributions.

Roland Eon and Jim Godbout were honored for their support of education. Superintendent Jeremy Ray called the two “game changers in making the community a better place to live and work.” Eon and Godbout were presented with silver brass plaques that will be placed in the Biddeford Regional Center of Technology building.

The funds raised will provide resources outside the normal school budget to augment teaching, encourage academic excellence and maximize opportunities for kindergarten through grade 12 students.
