“SALINGER” (PG-13) (2:00) Stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Edward Norton and Judd Apatow. Directed by Shane Salemo. Documentary with interviews of friends and colleagues of the very private author of “Catcher in the Rye.”

“THIS IS THE END” (R) (1:47) Stars James Franco, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen. Directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. While attending a party at James Franco’s house, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and many other celebrities are faced with the apocalypse.

“WE’RE THE MILLERS” (R) (1:50) Stars Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, Jason Sudeikis. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. A veteran pot dealer creates a fake family as part of his plan to move a huge shipment of weed into the U.S. from Mexico.

“THE WAY WAY BACK” (PG-13) (1:43) Stars Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Liam James and Allison Janney. Directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash. Duncan is having a difficult summer vacation with his mother, her overbearing boyfriend and his daughter. But the 14-year-old finds an unexpected friend in Owen, manager of the local water park.

“THE WIZARD OF OZ: AN IMAX 3D EXPERIENCE” (PG) (1:52) Stars Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger and Bert Lahr. Directed by Victor Fleming. The classic story of Dorothy Gale and her efforts to return to Kansas after she is swept away to Oz by a tornado.
