The Associated Press

WAKEFIELD, Mass. — Police in Wakefield say five people were injured when a car crashed into a dance studio.

The accident happened Thursday night at the Dance Track Studio on Main Street.

Police said a car driven by a 55-year-old woman crashed through the front of the building. Two adults and three teenagers in the studio were taken to hospitals, but their injuries did not appear to be serious.

The driver of the car, whose name was not released, was cited for operating negligently so as to endanger. There was no immediate word on what might have caused the accident.
