From staff reports
PARIS — At least four people were taken to hospitals after a deck off a garage apartment at 149 Moodybrook Road collapsed around 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
The deck, which was about 10 to 12 feet above the ground, fell toward the house, trapping two people, said Paris police Officer Nathan Bowie.
Bowie said he didn't know the names of the people injured, but he believed two were in serious condition, suffering broken bones and internal injuries.
Three people were taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, and one was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, he said.
Bowie said witness reported that between six and 10 people were on the deck when it collapsed. He said some of the injured drove themselves to the hospital.
