Gov. Paul LePage, background center, holds his first Cabinet meeting Monday at the State House in Augusta. The Republican governor met with departing commissioners from the Baldacci administration, thanking them for assisting with the transition and making sure that state agencies continue to have leadership while he selects his own staff and works through the confirmation process. The governor asked current department heads to hold off on rule-making and to consult with him before acting on urgent matters. He also said his office wants to be kept informed about media releases.
