LEWISTON — Lewiston police are investigating a stabbing on a city street.
The Sun Journal reports that police responded to the corner of Ash and Howard streets just before 7 p.m. Thursday for reports of a fight.
Witnesses say a man was seen stumbling down Howard before collapsing a few blocks away on Walnut Street.
That man was taken to Central Maine Medical Center.
Witnesses say they heard some yelling, followed by several people running away.
Police say two people were injured, but have not released names or the conditions of those hurt.
There was no word on arrests.
