Two arrested in attempted home invasion in Maine

Police said two masked individuals armed with a knife and an Airsoft gun designed to look real, attempted to break into a home while the owners slept.

BREWER — Police in Brewer say they've arrested two teenagers in connection with an attempted home invasion.

Police said two masked individuals armed with a knife and an Airsoft gun designed to look real, attempted to break into a home Thursday night while the owners slept.

The two fled before police arrived.

A multi-agency search for the suspects was conducted with assistance from police in Bangor, Holden and Orrington, Maine State Police, and the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office.

The two male suspects, ages 16 and 17, were taken into custody at about 11 p.m.
