WESTBROOK — Westbrook police are investigating a rash of daytime burglaries that they suspect is connected to an organized ring of thieves.
Police have been investigating residential burglaries going back to March in which prescription medication, jewelry, cash and electronics have been taken.
The burglaries have occurred at similar times and are clustered in certain areas, like the areas of North, Myrtle and Lyman streets, Prospect, Central and Mechanic streets and Cumberland Street, police said.
Police suspect someone may be going door-to-door to determine if people are home or may be watching as people leave their house. Police ask that residents report any suspicious behavior at 854-2531.
