Mad Science group to present programs
Mad Science of Maine will present the program “Digging for Dinosaurs” on Wednesday afternoon at the Kennebunk Free Library,112 Main St.
The program at 2 p.m. is for children who are 4 through 7 years of age; a program for youngsters 8 and older will follow at 3:30 p.m.
Both sessions offer a hands-on opportunity for youth to experience the discovery of fossils, learn about what dinosaurs ate and participate in a dinosaur-inspired project.
The event is free and wheelchair accessible.

Wildlife program to discuss raptors, reptiles, mammals
The Center for Wildlife will visit the Portland Public Library for a program entitled “Raptors, Reptiles & Mammals, Oh My!” at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Sam L. Cohen Children’s Library.
This event is for ages 5 and older.
Focusing on animals that live in Maine, educators from the center will provide an introduction to the unique differences between raptors, reptiles and mammals. Live animals and an interactive display will be used to answer a variety of questions.

Skyline Farm to hold annual fundraising event
Skyline Farm will hold its 11th annual Summer Celebration fundraiser from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, offering dog tricks, pony-driving demonstrations, lobster and dessert, an auction and live music from Band Overboard!
All activities are free except the Lobster Bake. All proceeds benefit nonprofit Skyline Farm, 95 The Lane, North Yarmouth.

Parsonsfield Seminary will host its Ninth Annual Victorian Tea, featuring light refreshments and the music of harpist Jane Wilcox Hively from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday on Route l60.

Tckets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door; admission for children is $5.

Author Nancy Greenleaf to discuss autobiography
Maine author Nancy P. Greenleaf will discuss her autobiography, “Becoming a New Englander,” at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Soldiers Memorial Library, 85 Main St.
The book details Greenleaf’s childhood move, in 1940, from a town in upstate New York to her grandfather’s rural farm, and the pains, joys and surprises it brought her.

Heidi’s child care celebrating 25 years
Heidi’s House Child Care Center will celebrate 25 years of being in business by hosting a free Family Fun Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Scarborough Memorial Park.
The event also will serve as a fundraiser for Team Kyle, named in honor of the late Kyle St. Clair, with proceeds to support causes involving children, serious illness and the Scarborough community.
Children’s singer Rick Charette will headline this family-friendly event, that also will include local band G5, a children’s fun run, games, face painting and food vendors. This event is free and open to the public.

Dan Strange jazz combo headlines local concert
Raymond Village Community Concerts will present Dan Strange with guest artist Ashley Liberty at 4 p.m. Sunday at 27 Main St.
Strange and his jazz combo will play original piano music from his CD, “Life As I Hear It.”
Liberty is a concert violinist who is best known locally for her work with An American Family Holiday.
