Girls' Roundup: Perfect finish for Lakers

GRAY - CeCe Hancock hit a 3-pointer with just over four minutes to play Tuesday night to break a 34-34 tie as Lake Region topped Gray-New Gloucester 47-41 in a girls' basketball game.

Chloe Smedley added 10 points for York.

Kendra Kagiliery knocked down five 3-pointers for Traip Academy. Alli Barrett chipped in 10 points. 

MCAULEY 75, MARSHWOOD 24: Allie Clement finished with 24 points, six rebounds and three steals as the Lions (4-0) cruised past the Hawks (1-3) at Portland. 

FALMOUTH 79, YARMOUTH 40: Emma Powers scored 14 points and Ally and Anna Hickey added 12 points apiece as the Yachtsmen (3-2) cruised to a win over the Clippers (0-5) at Falmouth.

Anna Hickey also grabbed nine rebounds and had seven steals for Falmouth, which outscored Yarmouth 25-6 in the opening quarter.

The Clippers were paced by Sean Cahill and Lane Simsarian with nine points each. 

FREEPORT 52, WELLS 33: Nina Davenport had 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Falcons (2-2), who took a 25-13 halftime lead and held off the Warriors (2-3) at Freeport.

Alison Furness scored 17 points for Wells. 

GORHAM 65, KENNEBUNK 27: Kristen Ross had 22 points and eight rebounds to power Gorham (1-3) past Kennebunk (1-3) at Gorham. 

SCARBOROUGH 64, WINDHAM 45: Mary Redmond made three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to lift the Red Storm (4-0) over the Eagles (2-2) at Windham.

Windham was paced by Sam Frost with a game-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers. 

MORSE 55, LINCOLN ACADEMY 40: Signe Ostergaard scored nine of her 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Shipbuilders (2-2) used a 23-9 run to pull away from the Eagles (0-4) at Bath. 

DEERING 66, NOBLE 31: Marissa MacMillan had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Rams (4-0) past the Knights (0-4) at North Berwick.

Alexis Stephenson and Keneisha DiRamio each added 10 points for the Rams. 

BIDDEFORD 48, MASSABESIC 43: Bailey Cote scored 14 points and Carissa Gelinas added 12 as the Tigers (1-3) built a 14-point halftime lead and held on for a win over the Mustangs (1-3) at Waterboro.

Massabesic was led by Nicole Roberge with 14 points. 

CHEVERUS 57, WESTBROOK 31: Brooke Flaherty had 14 points as the Stags (4-0) downed the Blue Blazes (1-3) at Portland.

Victoria Nappi had 12 points with a trio of 3-pointers for Cheverus, which led 34-9 at halftime.

Paige Baldwin and Madi Mullet each had nine points for Westbrook. 

PORTLAND 54, BONNY EAGLE 45: Elizabeth Donato scored 16 points and Brianna Holdren had 12 to help the Bulldogs (1-4) down the Scots (1-3) at Standish.

Bonny Eagle scored the first five points of the third quarter to take a 20-19 lead, but Holdren's nine points helped Portland finish the quarter with an 18-11 run that. The Bulldogs led throughout the fourth.

Caitlyn Hawxwell scored 16 points and Shannon Sanborn had 14 for the Scots. 

BOOTHBAY 42, OAK HILL 29: Abby McLellan scored 13 points as the Seahawks (3-2) won in Wales.

Brianna Hodgkins had eight points for Oak Hill (0-4). 

GREELY 37, CAPE ELIZABETH 31: Margaret Hatch made a go-ahead floater with less than three minutes to play and Jordynne Copp and Ashley Storey combined for 11 fourth-quarter points as the Rangers (4-1) used a 17-6 run to rally past the visiting Capers (1-3).

Hatch and fellow guard Haley Felkel came on in the final five minutes, helping Greely turn it around with full-court pressure. 

MT. ARARAT 58, SKOWHEGAN 46: Mallory Nelson scored 24 points to lead the Eagles (4-0) over the Indians (1-3) at Skowhegan.

Kristy Willey added 14 points and Caitlyn LaFountain had 11 for the Eagles, who used a 16-8 third-quarter run to open a 45-33 lead. 

WISCASSET 45, LISBON 43: Briana Goud scored 14 points and Alecia Faulkingham added 13 as the Wolverines (2-1) rallied from a five-point fourth quarter deficit to edge the Greyhounds (2-1) at Wiscasset.
