Maine Colleges: USM women win, now 13-0

AMHERST 3, COLBY 0: The Jeffs (8-4-1, 5-3 NESCAC) held the Mules (3-9, 1-7) to four shots on goal at Amherst, Mass.

Sam Parker made 28 saves for Colby.

SALEM ST. 5, USM 3: The Vikings (6-4-1) used three third-period goals to get by the Huskies (5-7) at Salem, Mass.

Alex Pompeo had two assists for Southern Maine.

UNE 5, SUFFOLK 4: Jared Melman scored twice and the Nor'easters (3-8) used four unanswered third-period goals to overcome a 3-1 deficit against the Rams (4-6-2) at Boston.


MAINE 4, BROWN 2: Brianne Kilgour and Shawna Lesperance scored second-period goals and Brittany Ott made 36 saves to help the Black Bears (3-14-1) hold off the Bears (2-9-1) at Providence.

Kelly McDonald and Katy Massey added goals for Maine.

BOWDOIN 3, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 0: Kayla Lessard made 23 saves to record her second consecutive shutout for the Polar Bears (8-1-1, 4-0) in a NESCAC win over the Camels (4-5-1, 1-4-1) at Brunswick.

Kayte Holtz, Colleen Finnerty and Chelsea MacNeil scored for Bowdoin, while Kim Tess-Wanat added two assists.

AMHERST 2, COLBY 1: Megan Doyen opened the scoring 2:56 into the third period and assisted on the game-winner as the Lord Jeffs (7-4, 5-1) edged the Mules (4-7, 0-6) in a NESCAC game at Waterville.

For Colby, Megan Fortier scored off an assist from Annie Papadellis.
