Staff Photo by Doug Jones, Wednesday, April 2, 2003: Sculptor John Bisbee in the process of attaching a ton of 12 inch spikes to the wall of the Great Hall at the Portland Museum of Art, for an installation called “Plume”. The spikes are welded into masses weighing up to 30 lbs. then mounted to the wall with screws in a grouping.
