School staff appreciation week

Jessica Merrill of Brown Road said the Buxton Parent Teacher Organization is planning an appreciation week, May 3-8, at four elementary schools in SAD 6. The four schools are Jack Memorial, Frank Jewett, S. D. Hanson and Eliza Libby.

Members of the PTO are volunteering to make it a special day for teachers, office staff, custodians, bus drivers, support staff and cafeteria workers. The four schools have 125 staff members. “We feel that all of these people working as a team in our school system have made such a wonderful impact on our children that we would like to give back in some way,” Merrill said.
