Several Windham community service organizations, along with local churches, have organized into a group called Food & Fellowship, Inc. They began a program called “Monday Meal”, about 4 or 5 years ago. It started out with the idea of a free meal offered to local residents, as a change for people to get to meet other folks in the town, as well as enjoy a home-cooked meal.
This has now turned into “Monday Meals” and is held every Monday at 5:30 p.m. There is still no charge and there are many people now attending.
It is held on the first and second Mondays at the Assembly of God Church, 1051 Roosevelt Trail; and on the third and fourth Mondays in Fellowship Hall, in back of Windham Hill United Church of Christ, on Windham Center Road.
Singles, families, senior citizens – all are welcome! Be prepared to enjoy! For more information, call 893-1777.
