50th Anniversary

Dick and Beverly Jensen, formerly of Windham, celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 2. Their children, Karen Thompson, Lynne Jordan, Lori Jensen, Richard Graves and Dana Jensen, gave them a surprise party April 3 at the Naples Town Gym.

Conference

There will be a statewide tax-reform conference April 16 at 10 a.m. in the Windham Veteran’s Center located behind the Windham Mall.

There will be several State Representatives and representatives of tax groups from all over the state in attendance.

Thank You

Thanks to everyone who donated to the Pet Food Donation Day to benefit the Windham Food Pantry. They received 16 pounds of dry cat food, 40 pounds of dry dog food, 45 cans of cat food, 18 cans of dog food, 7 semi-moist pouches of cat food, 7 semi-moist pouches of dog food, 4 pounds of guinea pig food and 4 pounds of rabbit food. Another huge thank-you goes to the Kennel Shop for all their support and help in the donations. Without them, they could never get so much food.

Back Home

Lew Weatherby has returned home from Maine Medical Center. He spent four days there after undergoing surgery. He is glad to be home and doing well.

Visits

George Libby of New York visited a week with family members and friends recently. He stayed with his mother, Beulah Mason and her husband, Wes. He also visited his sister and her family.

There will be a Lake Pine Association meeting April 17 at 1 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall. This is a business meeting of Rebekahs and Odd Fellows called by Paul Carro.
