Caterina Libby MacLean, an eighth-grader at Scarborough Middle School, was recently honored for exceptional performance on the Scholastic Aptitude Tests. MacLean placed second among Maine middle-school students on the verbal portion of the SAT, with a score of 720, and second overall in the state with a combined math and verbal score of 1300.
Three other Scarborough Middle School students were also honored for their scores on the SATs: Chloe Kumpel, Elizabeth Cook and Andrew Piccolo. Haley Cushing, a student at Cape Elizabeth Middle School, was also honored for her score.
