Church community fair Saturday

Buxton United Methodist Church, 276 Chicopee Road, presents its second annual Community Fair on Saturday, Aug. 6.

The events kick off with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. An auction, which goes until everything is gone, gets underway at 9 a.m. Other events include snack bar and free moon bounce, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Dana Perkins, ventriloquist and magician, free entertainment for people of all ages, 11 a.m.; kiddie parade (bicycle,scooter, tricycle), 12:30 p.m.; bean suppah, 4:30-6 p.m.; Mac McHale & The Old Time Radio Gang, country music from the 1930s and 1940s, 6 p.m. There will be door prizes, too. Tickets, $10; $12.50 at the door.

The church is still accepting items in good condition for their auction. Donated items will be picked up.

Theriaault on president’s list

Nicole Theriault made the president’s list for the spring semester at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, N.H.

Theriault graduated in May and will be teaching the eighth grade at Kid’s Peace in Ellsworth. She is the daughter of Larry and Rae Theriault.

SAD 6 enrollment days

School Administrative District 6 will have open enrollment days for Bonny Eagle high and middle schools this month.

Enrollment for the Bonny Eagle High School, grades nine through 12, will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the cafeteria at the high school. The enrollment is expected to be completed within two or three hours. Those attending should RSVP at 642-9080 or 929-3840.

The Bonny Eagle Middle School, trades 6-8, enrollment will be 8 a.m. to noon, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 23 and 24, at the school. Enrollments will be by appointment only by calling 642-9071 or 929-3833.

Those enrolling are asked to take proof of residency, proof of legal guardianship, transcript or report card, immunization record, student’s Social Security number, Special Ed (most recent IEP and minutes from last PET), and student’s state identification number if transferring from a Maine school.
