I write this letter in support of Darryl Wright’s candidacy for City Council. I have known Darryl Wright for several years. In that time, I have found him to be someone who is deeply committed to family and community. Darryl has worked very hard, in a variety of capacities, to move our city forward.

I have served with Darryl on several committees and boards in Westbrook – the Westbrook Chamber of Commerce board of directors, The Kiwanis Club of Westbrook, the mayor’s select committee on economic development, Mission Possible Teen Center – and I have seen first hand the leadership abilities and the can-do attitude that Darryl brings to the table.

Darryl is creative, focused and dedicated, and he brings an energy and enthusiasm that truly inspires those around him. I am impressed with Darryl Wright and his ability to stand on his principles while also listening to all sides involved in a discussion. He is committed to finding the best solution to the myriad of challenges that face us in Westbrook. He brings a sense of balance that is unparalleled in local politics.

With his overall experience and his willingness to work hard to find the right answer, I can think of no one who is better suited to serve the people of Ward Four on Westbrook’s City Council. I urge you to support him and cast your vote for Darryl Wright on Nov. 8.
