With all the wild weather the world has experienced this year, is something wrong with Mother Nature?

Cheryl Atherton, 56, Gorham

“I don’t really think there’s anything wrong with Mother Nature. I think how things are is how it’s supposed to be. You can’t control it. But there are, I’m sure, scientists and weather forecasters who think there is a way to control it but I don’t really think there is. It’s going to happen and there’s not much we can do about it.

John Ward, 48, Raymond

“Everything goes in cycles. You have bad winters, and you have mild winters. I don’t believe in global warming especially when it’s January in the state of Maine.”

“Nothing. Mother Nature is fine. She’s doing a good job. She is just showering more this year than usual. But, ever since I was diagnosed with cancer, every day is a good day as long as I’m on top of the grass.”

Joe Kennie, 36, Hollis

“It’s all balanced. It gets really hot and then the hurricane comes and gets everything wet and cools things off. By the way, my mom, Donna Kennie of Hollis, is going down to Louisiana sometime this month to help with hurricane relief.”

Helen Lailer, 83, Windham

“I think it’s gone on for centuries. Read the Bible and it’ll tell ya. My mother told me that a long time ago. She believed there was a reason for everything and that you can find anything you want to know in the Bible.”

Dara Jordan, 31, Windham

“We’ve always had such crazy weather. People just aren’t prepared like they used to be. They aren’t properly preparing for future catastrophes.”
