League swimming all-stars
Bonny Eagle’s Hannah Branch was named to the Southern Maine High School Swim League all-conference team in the 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay, 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle relay. The Scots Mary Yarumian was named all-academic.
Legion baseball meeting
A meeting will be held Friday for those interested in playing Legion baseball for the Libby-Mitchell Post 76 team. The meeting begins at 5:30 and will be held at the Scarborough Public Library at 48 Gorham Road in Scarborough. Any 15-19 year old who lives in Scarborough, Windham, Buxton or Standish can try out for the team. Also, players cut by other Legion teams are eligible to try out, as are those who played for Libby-Mitchell in 2004 or 2005, but may not live in those towns any more.
