2006 Record 2-6
Coach Mark Snow and Scott Rush-Donohue
Highlight Team tied for third at Class B state meet, set two school records during season – Miles Bartlett 9:47.58 in 3,200m and 4x800m relay (8:14.35) by Bartlett, Kevin Floster and sophomores Keegan Eldridge and Jake Moore.
Seniors Brian Harris, Spencer Morton, Miles Bartlett, and Kevin Floster
Awards Floster set conference record in 800m (1:58.54), third consecutive state 800m title (1:59.73), fifth at New Englands (1:56.34); Bartlett won state titles in 1,600m and 3,200m, third at NEs 1600m (4:21.09), Gatorade Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, Western Maine Conference Best Performer on the track at league championships (voted on by coaches); 4x800m relay also won the state title.
Coach’s Comment “We knew our regular season record would not be impressive, but with Miles, Kevin and a couple of relays we were able to score well at the league and state meets. Placing thirrd at states for the second consecutive year was above our expectations and a great end to the season.
Magic Number 8:14.35 Kevin Floster and Miles Bartlett are two of the best distance runners in the state, but they needed two other quality teammates, Keegan Eldridge and Jake Moore, to break the school record in the 4 x 800 relay. “That’s what makes this number so special to me,” says coach Mark Snow. “It’s an outstanding school record.”

2006 Record 4-4
Coach Scott Rush-Donohue and Mark Snow
Highlight Had best finish at Western Maine Conference championship meet in many years (fourth place). Set three school records: Renee Nicholas (long jump, 16’7″); Sarah Hale (100 meters, 12.5); 4×100 relay of Nicholas, Hale, ZZ Leighton, & Krysti Leach (51.16 also set the conference meet record).
Seniors Sarah Hale
Awards 4x100m relay won the state title; Renee Nicholas won two events (long jump and triple jump) at the league meet; Sarah Hale won the 100m at the league meet.
Coach’s Comment “We had a great league championship meet, netting fourth place. Our young throwers placed well and our jumpers and sprinters placed in a few events. Almost every athlete had their best performance at that meet. We couldn’t have asked or expected a better meet.
Magic Number 51.16 (school and conference record) for the 4x100m. After getting third at last year’s state meet, our girls focused on the relay this year. They worked on handoffs almost daily. Their worked paid off with a state title and at the conference meet ran this great time.

Coach’s Comment “The boys have never won a match. We came close in this year’s first match, losing 3-2 to Wells. We have some young players who are really good athletes, and we will win a match next year. And just like I said this year, when we win a match next year I will show up the next day in a skirt.”
