On June 23, six Scouts and four adults, including two volunteeer parents and two Scout masters, journeyed to Mount Katahdin at Baxter State Park. The Scouts from Troop 47 of Scarborough hiked Mount Katahdin along trails to Baxter Peak, along Knife Edge, to Pamola Peak.

After hiking 11 and a half miles, they left the park and traveled to Old Roll Dam campsite. From here, they spent the next few days canoeing 33 miles along the West Branch of the Penobscot River from Old Roll Dam to the Chesuncook Lake. It was a memorable trip for all who participated!

From left, Nate Berry, Jesse Bell, Harry Motter, Nick Quiram, Casey Bell and Samuel Cushing conquered Knife Edge and Mount Katahdin last month.
