Officers from the Cape Elizabeth Police Department are still looking for a man who approached a 5-year-old girl for a photo.

Police are searching for a man who stopped on Route 77 outside the 5-year-old’s home on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 2:20 p.m. and asked to take the girl’s picture, said Capt. Brent Sinclair.

The girl was riding her bike in the driveway outside the house.

The mother of the girl started calling to her daughter when she saw her talking to the stranger. Sinclair said the man then got into his truck and drove off towards South Portland.

“There are no criminal charges against the man,” said Sinclair, “we don’t know what his intentions were.”

The man was described as being in his 50s with long white hair, a white beard and driving a white truck with a white cap.

The Cape police are working with other communities to put together a composite of the unidentified male.
