Sisters in Crime, an international organization of mystery writers, librarians, booksellers, and fans will visit the Naples Public Library next weekend.

Maine authors Kate Flora, Lea Waite, and Kathy Lynn Emerson will discuss their writing processes, from the first inkling of an idea to their finished works on Saturday morning, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m.

Harpswell author Kate Flora is author of the Thea Kozak series which features a tall, strong, ardently persistent, educational consultant and her Maine State Trooper boyfriend.

Edgecomb author Lea Waite writes Scribner’s Shadows Antique Mystery series, in which antique print dealer Maggie Summer solves crimes by finding clues in her nineteenth century prints. Shadow at the Fair was a finalist for a “best first mystery” Agatha; Shadows on the Coast of Maine was a Mystery Guild “Editor’s Choice.”

Kathy Lynn Emerson lives in Wilton, Maine with her husband and three cats. She writes in a variety of genres which include 2 mystery series. The Face Down Mystery Series takes place in the 16th century and features gentlewoman, herbalist, and sleuth, Susanna, Lady Appleton.
