Shriners

The Lake Region Shriners will hold a joint meeting with the Portland Shrine Club Jan. 15. The meeting will be at the Deering Congregational Church in Portland. They will have a joint installation of officers.

Library

Don’t forget to visit the Windham Public Library and view the assortment of Peanuts memorabilia from the collection of Sarah Farwell. The display will be there through Feb. 9. Snoopy is her favorite character but she has a full range of characters on exhibit. Some of the items on display are stuffed toys, cars, books, a snow globe and a telephone.

Meeting

The Windham Wheelers ATV Club will meet Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in the East Windham Fire Barn. Anyone wanting information about the club should contact Kevin Bailey at 892-0664 or Chris Charbonneau at 893-8246.

Historical Society

The Historical Society will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 22 at the public meeting room in the Windham Public Library, on Windham Center Road. Those attending, whose last names begin with A-M are asked to bring something unique and see if they can “stump” the attendees. The same kind of program will be repeated at the Feb. 26 meeting only for surnames from N-Z. Refreshments will be served. There is no fee, and the public is welcome.

Marriage

Scott McDonald and Tammy Hodgkins were married at their new home in Windham Dec. 31. The best man was Keith Ivers and the maid of honor was Tracy Palmitessa. Judith Vance performed the ceremony, which was attended by family members.

Meeting

The Rebekah Lodge No. 71 will meet Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Hall. This will be Roll Call and Obligation night. Paul and Gerri Caro are in charge of refreshments.

Birthday

Dylan Sanphy turned 7 on Jan. 5. His mother, Angela Tripp, held a party for him Jan. 6 at 3 p.m. at Victory Lane in Westbrook. His family and friends enjoyed racing the go-karts!

Meeting

The Swgustago Council No. 49 of the Pocahontas will meet Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. in Cumberland. Hopefully many of the Windham members will be able to attend.
