Windham Police Officer Matthew Cyr will talk about scams and swindles, with a focus on seniors, at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Senior Place in the Unity Gardens senior living center at 124 Tandberg Trail.

The event is sponsored by Southern Maine Agency on Aging. Anne Murray, coordinator of the Agewell program, said attendees will learn about identity fraud, phone scams and personal safety.

The talk will last for one hour, and will be followed by refreshments. Murray can be reached at 800-427-7411 for more information or for pre-registration, which is requested.

Unity Gardens also hosts a Senior Dining Club where seniors can get a healthy meal at a low price. Call Virginia Billings at 892-3891 for more information.
