The international and interdenominational His Gifts His Presence New England Arts Festival will be held Saturday, June 23 at the Greater Portland Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church located at 715 Bridgton St. in Westbrook.

The festival will feature more than 100 Christian artists who will perform Saturday in three categories: visual arts, dance and music. Visual art displays will be open from 3 to 9 p.m. while performances start at 5 p.m. Suggested donation at the door is $5.

Event organizer Barbara Bagshaw, of Windham, said she is honored, again, to have dancer Stephanie Powell performing at the festival and teaching a free community dance workshop, June 22, for the fourth year in a row.

This year’s festival, Bagshaw, added, is “shaping up to be the best ever. We have artists from Florida, California, Australia, Germany, Russia, Egypt and a photographer from South Africa, that just got commissioned to photograph George W. Bush, joining us for this year’s event.”

Other acts featured at Saturday’s festival include: Rebirth Dance Company from England, Selah Warriors of Praise, dancers from Georgia, internationally renown pastel artist David Costello, Maine’s Poet Laureate Betsy Sholl, musicians Lisa Gallant Seal, rap artists Anonymous 1 and Lamar Callahan, African Gospel Rhythms with Pastor Pezzy from Zambia, the Browne Boyz from Pennsylvania and the Warrior Poetes.
