Last December, Bonny Eagle senior Casey McKague was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome, which caused him to miss the entire basketball season. According to the Mayo Clinic, thoracic outlet syndrome occurs when the blood vessels or nerves in the thoracic outlet, the space between the collarbone and the first rib, become compressed, stopping blood flow and causing clots.
