The Scarborough 11-12 year old girls won the state softball championship last week. On Tuesday, Erin Giles went 3-3 with two RBIs and Alyssa Williamson scattered four hits and struck out nine to lead the District 6 champs from Scarborough to a 7-2 win over District 5 champ Auburn Suburban in the championship game of the 11-12 year old state tournament. Scarborough won the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record. Giles was the catalyst at the plate for Scarborough throughout the tournament. She batted .617 and drove in seven runs in the four games.
