Jordan Monty from Steep Falls Elementry takes a guess at how many peppermints are in a jar at the annual School Administrative District Title I Family Math Night at Bonny Eagle Middle School. Parents, students and staff from across the district participated in the event with the goal of demonstrating math games and activities that parents and students could continue to use together at home. Students in grades 3-5 worked with their parents on a variety of math activities, including estimation, graphing, addition, counting money, problem solving, and mental math. At the end of the evening, participants were rewarded with ice cream sundaes to acknowledge their hard work.
