was struck by Sgt. Paul Thorpe’s unmarked Ford Cruiser, which was
headed westbound on Route 302, a Sheriff’s Office press release
said.

accident is still under investigation. It appears that McHugh could
not see the cruiser because of a third car that blocked his vision
as he pulled out into traffic. There have been no charges filed at
this time.
