CAPE ELIZABETH — Nomination papers for four Town Council seats and three School Board seats are currently available for the Nov. 3 election. Papers are due in the Town Clerk’s office by 4 p.m. Sept. 4.

Three, three-year terms are available on both boards, in addition to one unexpired Town Council term to fill Paul McKenney’s seat when his resignation goes into affect at the end of the year. The full-term Town Council seats are currently held by Sara Lennon, David Backer, and Chairman Jim Rowe. The School Board seats are currently held by Karen Burke, Peter Cotter, and Chairwoman Patricia Brigham.

In order to be nominated for office, a candidate must be a Cape resident, a registered voter, and turn in petitions with between 25 and 100 signatures. Nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s office.

The election will be held Nov. 3 in the high school gym.
