Last week’s 68 degrees notwithstanding, it really is winter and time to take the local sports season indoors. And that is a very good thing. As always, Falmouth, Freeport, Greely, North Yarmouth Academy and Yarmouth figure to impress in the weeks to come. Some of the best basketball, hockey, track, swimming and skiing in the state will take place right in our backyard, so bundle up and enjoy.
