1/23 at 8:45 p.m. Derek M. Smith, 18, of Rankin Road, Buxton, was arrested at the Family Ice Arena, Hat Trick Road, by Officers Bill Dixon and George Savidge on a warrant.
1/28 at 9:08 p.m. Brian H. Tuttle, 18, of Cumberland Avenue, Portland, was arrested at the Audubon Society, Gilsland Farm Road, by Officer Kurt Fegan on a warrant.
Summonses
1/25 at 9:21 a.m. Ronald P. Russo, 40, of Russo Way, Falmouth, was summonsed by Officer Dean Mazziotti on a charge of failure to register vehicle.
Down in the dumps
1/23 at 7:53 p.m. Police received a report of an unresponsive man lying by the dumpster in back of Waldo’s on Route 1. When officers investigated, they were eventually able to wake the man, who they believed to be intoxicated. In his thirties and homeless, the man told police he was headed north. Officers arranged transportation for him.
Should have dumped it
1/24 at 5:20 p.m. A Route 1 Starbucks employee reported a man in a blue Chrysler minivan going through the drive-through with an open can of beer, a violation of the state liquor law. Starbucks has reported the same person several other occasions for the same violation. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
Dumped it and ran
1/25 at 8:59 p.m. Two males attempted to walk out of the Route 1 Wal-Mart with an assortment of computers and electronics they had not paid for. When approached, they left the merchandise and fled in a red Chevy pick-up truck. According to police, the men are known to the department and are being investigated by another agency as possible suspects in related thefts.
