FREEPORT — Morse Street School Principal Cheryl White is retiring at the end of this school year.
In an e-mail today to parents White said she will end her two decades as principal at Morse School and thanked the community.
“I have delighted in watching children grow, and equally as rewarding, watching staff grow and reach out for the next challenge,” White wrote. “It’s been grand to be able to work with families throughout these years and to be able to see brothers and sisters come through our doors.”
White, who has been in education for 40 years, began at Morse in the fall of 1990.
