LOW AND BURBANK’s GRANT, N.H. – Authorities say a Colorado man hiking on New Hampshire’s Mount Adams is safe after rescuers helped him walk off the mountain.
The New Hampshire Union Leader says a nine-member rescue team and Douglas Soholt made it off the mountain at about 1 a.m. Monday as bad weather closed in.
Officials say Soholt fell about 1,500-feet into King Ravine on the Gulfside Trail on the north side of the mountain at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday. He suffered a minor head injury.
