The Deering High School sailing team is inviting Deering and Casco Bay High students and incoming freshmen to sign up for the fall season. Sailing is a co-ed pay-to-sail sport. South Portland National Little League is seeking volunteers to umpire baseball and softball games. An umpiring clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 in Windham. The SPNLL will reimburse its volunteers for the registration fee, which is $18 by April 9 or $25 after April 9.
