Tropical flavor is transforming Sunday River this weekend during the Parrot Head Festival. The celebration of spring sponsored by the ski resort and the Parrot Head Club of the Northern Tropics raises money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
On Saturday, revelers turned out to watch competitors in the Bust ‘n’ Burn mogul competition and to enjoy Jimmy Buffett tribute bands, a margarita mix-off, a Parrot Head costume contest and a Spam-carving contest.
Today’s festival events include the Bust ‘n’ Burn finals, pond skimming and key lime pie eating contests and more live music. For more information, go to www.sundayriver.com.
