PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A Boston woman who is eight months pregnant was accused of stabbing three people during a brawl.

Nicole Bruton, 35, is charged with stabbing Monique Bailey, 37, and Bailey’s two teenage daughters during the altercation Wednesday at the Manton Heights Housing Project in Providence, R.I.

Bailey; her 18-year-old daughter, Tierra; and 13-year-old daughter, Aisha, were treated at hospitals for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police Maj. Thomas Oates III told the Providence Journal.

Bruton fled but was arrested. She was arraigned Thursday on three counts of assault and released on $1,500 cash bail with a stipulation that she have no contact with the Bailey family.

Her attorney said in court that his client was the mother of three and worked at a Boston hospital. The lawyer said Bruton had brought her children to Providence on school vacation to visit their aunt.
