PORTLAND — Democrats, Republicans and Greens in several legislative districts went to the polls Tuesday to decide who their candidates will be in the November elections for the state Legislature.

In District 114, incumbent Democratic Rep. Peter Stuckey beat George Vincent Jr., 880-187. Stuckey will face Republican Patrick Calder in November.

In District 116, a seat that represents Riverton, Republican Kenneth Capron defeated Badr Sharif, 276-61. He will take on Democrat Denise Harlow in November. Harlow is the daugher of state Rep. Charles Harlow, D-Portland, who cannot seek re-election because of term limits.

In District 119, representing Parkside and Bayside, Mohammed Dini and Jill Barkley faced off in a Democratic primary; Barkley won,  380-221. She will face Republican Megan Sanborn in November.

District 119 Rep. Herb Adams, D-Portland, cannot run again due to term limits.

There was also a Green Independent primary in District 119, pitting Christian McNeil against Kris Eckhardt. McNeil announced in May he was dropping out of the race because of new work commitments, but his name still appeared on the ballot and voters on Tuesday gave him 21 votes, to Eckhardt’s 16.

Charles Bragdon and Anna Trevorrow faced off in a Green primary for the chance to be on the November ballot representing District 120. Trevorrow won, 79-9. She will face Republican Thomas Elliman and incumbent Democratic Rep. Diane Russell in a three-way race to represent the district that includes Munjoy Hill.

Results are unofficial until certified by the city clerk.
